For my blog assignment, I watched a video by Kazu Language on YouTube. Kazu is an impressive polyglot who has mastered many languages at just 24 years old. What fascinates me most is how he manages to learn so many languages while deeply immersing himself in different cultures. He explores the customs, history, and traditions of various countries, showing a true passion for global connections. Watching his videos inspires me to improve my own language skills and connect with people from all over the world. I hope to one day communicate fluently with people from different cultures, just like him!

Japanese Video
Today, I watched a Japanese interview video, and it was one of my favorite listening experiences so far. The video is an interview with Kazu from Kazu Languages, who is my favorite YouTuber. そして、polyglot(多言語話者)です。 Kazu-san can speak 14 languages fluently, and if we include languages that he is not fluent in but still understands a little, the number goes up to around 60 languages. I watch his videos very often, and I have watched all of his videos. His videos include Spanish, French, German, Russian, Chinese, Korean, and many other languages. What I like most about Kazu is that he uses languages in real life. Sometimes, he talks with people from different countries online. Sometimes, he travels to other countries and talks with local people. In this interview, Kazu talks about why he started liking languages. When he was a child, he liked music and foreign cultures. He me...
I am always a little jealous of polyglots for being able to interact with people across many different cultures. I think it’s amazing how language learning goes beyond just words and is about understanding cultures and making meaningful connections.
ReplyDeleteこんいちは Xi さん!I've never heard of a polyglot before today, it sounds like a superpower! I bet they're essentially geniuses but with communication skills. Like how math prodigies have super developed left brain hemispheres, polyglots have advanced right hemispheres. Being able to immerse yourself in multiple cultures is waayy cooler than building rockets in my opinion!
ReplyDeleteI learned something new today! I did not know what a polyglot was until I read the post. It is a very special skill and can be useful in many contexts in society. You can definitely become polyglot if you try. You just need to put the effort and the work in!
