 This semester’s Japanese learning experience has been really great, and Japanese class became my favorite class every week. Last semester I took Elementary Japanese I, and this semester I took II. I can really feel the difference. Now I can make simple sentences on my own and even have short conversations with people. That makes me very happy and motivated. I already signed up for First-Year Japanese II next semester, and I’m really excited to continue studying. I also hope to study at Nanzan University in the spring of 2027, so learning Japanese now feels even more meaningful.

 Today, I watched a Japanese interview video, and it was one of my favorite listening experiences so far. このビデオは、にほんごのインタビューです。 The video is an interview with Kazu from Kazu Languages, who is my favorite YouTuber. Kazu さんは日本人 です。 そして、polyglot（多言語話者）です。 Kazu-san can speak 14 languages fluently, and if we include languages that he is not fluent in but still understands a little, the number goes up to around 60 languages. Kazu さんは、いろいろな げんご が わかります。 I watch his videos very often, and I have watched all of his videos. His videos include Spanish, French, German, Russian, Chinese, Korean, and many other languages. とても すごい です。 What I like most about Kazu is that he uses languages in real life. Sometimes, he talks with people from different countries online. Sometimes, he travels to other countries and talks with local people.
